Hurrah! Alas! इत्यादि जैसे शब्दों को interjections कहते हैं. इनका प्रयोग प्रबल भावनाओं को व्यक्त करने के लिए होता है. Grammar के दृष्टिकोण से इन शब्दों का वाक्य के अन्य शब्दों से सम्बन्ध नहीं होता. Interjections का प्रयोग हृदय में एकदम या अचानक होने वाले भावनाओं को भी व्यक्त करने लिए होता है.
The words like Hurrah! Alas! etc are called interjections. These words are used to express very strong, sudden sentiments. Grammatically these words have no connection with the sentences they are used with.

लिखते समय, Interjection के अंत में एक्सक्लमेशन मार्क (विस्मय सूचक चिन्ह) लगाया जाता है.
While writing, the exclamation mark (!) is used to mark the end of an Interjection.
